OpenMenuMap is a free, community-powered platform that helps people discover real restaurant prices by sharing menu photos and receipts. We fill the gap where restaurant pictures are available on maps, but price information is missing.

How do I add a restaurant?

Simply click anywhere on the map to add a new restaurant. You'll be prompted to enter the restaurant name, and the location will be saved automatically.

You can also use the "Show Restaurants" button to find restaurants from OpenStreetMap and add them directly.

How do I upload a menu or receipt?

First, make sure you're logged in and your email is verified. Then:

1. Find the restaurant on the map (or add it if it doesn't exist)
2. Click on the restaurant marker
3. Click "Upload Menu"
4. Select your photo and add an optional caption
5. Submit for moderation

Why do uploads need moderation?

All uploads are reviewed by moderators to ensure they are legitimate menu photos or receipts, and to maintain quality and accuracy of the information shared on the platform.

How long does moderation take?

Our moderators typically review uploads within 24-48 hours. You'll be notified once your upload has been approved or if any changes are needed.

Is OpenMenuMap free to use?

Yes! OpenMenuMap is completely free for users. We don't charge restaurants for listings, and we don't show ads. The platform is community-powered and built by food lovers for food lovers.

Can I delete a restaurant I added?

Yes, if you created a restaurant, you can delete it using the "Delete" button in the restaurant details modal. This helps keep the map accurate and removes accidental additions.

How do I report inappropriate content?

If you encounter inappropriate content, please use the contact form to report it. Our moderators will review and take appropriate action.

Can I use OpenMenuMap without creating an account?

You can browse the map and view approved menus without an account. However, to upload menus, like, comment, or share content, you'll need to create a free account and verify your email address.
